Top Player: Matt Dessoye, a sophomore from Meyers, led the team with 20.7 points and 4.7 assists per game.

District 2 Alumni: Dessoye was one of two players to start all 27 games. He also led the team with 70 made 3-pointers. … There were six players from District 2 teams on the roster. The others were Khalil Saunders, Jude Goddard, Sean Matos, Michael Picataggio and Gabriel Miller. … Saunders, a freshman from Meyers, played in every game and started all but two. He was third on the team with 12.8 points per game and led in rebounding with 10.1. … Goddard, a freshman from Berwick, played in 24 games, starting 17. He averaged 6.5 points, 4.2 rebounds and 3.1 assists. … Matos, a sophomore from Wyoming Valley West, played in 23 games. He made five starts and averaged 1.1 points per game. … Picataggio, a freshman from Crestwood, averaged 1.7 points while playing in nine games. … Gabriel Miller, a freshman from Hazleton Area, played in seven games and averaged 0.9 points.

Notes: The Trailblazers went 5-6 between losing its first 13 games and its final three. … This was Cannon’s first season as head coach.
