WILKES-BARRE – Crestwood returns its top four scorers from a team that went 11-5 in Wyoming Valley Conference boys basketball to finish third in Division 1.

Camden Boris, a 6-foot-2 senior, and Mike Palmiero, a 6-foot senior, were both part of the NEPABasketball.com division honorable mention list last season when they averaged scoring in double figures.

Sean Murphy, another senior, also started throughout last season and will lead the team from the point guard position.

Ryan Petrosky, a 6-1 sophomore, moved into the starting lineup last season when Kevin Klusewitz went out with an injury.

“Our strength will be our depth and our experience,” Crestwood coach Mark Atherton said.

Atherton said “there is not much separation” among the remaining players, creating both difficult coaching decisions and multiple options.

Seniors Frankie Casarella, Adam Gegaris and Sean Foley; juniors Connor Olenginski, Brad Papura and Don Shaw; and sophomores Marcus Vieney and Jacob Zaleski could all figure into the mix.

Crestwood finished 16-8 last season, missing out on a state Class 5A tournament berth when they lost to Dallas at the buzzer in the District 2 semifinals.
