Lackawanna boys all-star game set Tuesday

Seven players from division championship teams have been selected for the Blue Team that will take on the Red Team Tuesday night in the Lackawanna League Boys Senior All-Star Game Tuesday night at Valley View.

Lawrence Tompkins from Susquehanna will coach the Blue against the Red team coached by Joe Gibbons from Mountain View. During the regular season, their teams tied for first place and played for the Division 4 title where Susquehanna repeated with a playoff victory.

There will be a 3-point contest at 6:30, followed by the game at 7.

Four players from state Class 5A semifinalist and Lackawanna Division 1 champ Abington Heights are on the roster. George Tinsley, Trey Koehler, Jack Nealon and Drew Nealon will represent the Comets.

Tompkins will also have Bryce Baldwin, Mason Deakin and C.J. Stone from his championship team.

The host Cougars have Marc Kudrich and Jaden Duplessis in the game. Bobby Craig was selected, but will miss because of an injury.

Mid Valley and Lakeland each have two players on the team.

Shane Rosencrans and Vinny Talluto represent Mid Valley while Jake Curnow and James Lewis are the Lakeland players.

Delaware Valley’s Blake Gearhart and Western Wayne’s Dahlton Frisbie complete the roster.

The Red team, coached by Gibbons, has three players each from Scranton Prep and Scranton.

Leo O’Boyle, Brian Boland and Mario Rotell are the Scranton Prep players. Tahg Jones, Marcus Bauman and Derome White are the Scranton players.

Derrick Vosburg represents Division 2 champion Wallenpaupack and Tyler Mozeleski is on the squad from Division 3 champion Holy Cross.

Blue Ridge has Kaleb Folk and Sam Cosmello on the team.

Mikey Schermerhorn from Mountain View will again play for his high school coach, Gibbons.

The rest of the roster is Honesdale’s Colin Rickard, Carbondale’s Mike Zazzera and Elk Lake’s Hunter Bomboy.
